He looked and looked, but just couldn't find anything the right size. So, he decided that he would make one himself. He and Mr. J went out shopping for all the supplies they would need, and they set to work.
What you need:
- 2 lengths of electrical plastic conduit
- couplings to hold pipe together
- 2 strands of garland
- berries, pine cones and other embellishments you like
- heat gun
- something to hold things together (hubby used coloured tie straps)
- strand of Christmas lights (if you want the wreath lit)
- bow
What to do:
- Using your heat gun, heat the pipe so that you can mold it into a circle (do this with both pieces, different sizes so one fits inside the other) **this stage is hot, wear work gloves
- When the pipe has cooled enough for your to handle it, wrap the garland strands around each circle
- Use green or black tie straps to attach the circles together (smaller one inside the large one)
- Use tie straps (or glue gun) to attach embellishments as you like
- Wrap lights around
- Attach Bow to bottom (or top)
Find the perfect spot and hang the wreath! Depending on the size you need, you may only need one length of pipe. Because we wanted such a large wreath, we definitely needed both pieces.
