As a parent, one of my favourite things is being witness to my kids as they discover the world we live in. Whether it is watching the rain or snow fall, jumping in puddles or smelling flowers - I love it.
Watching them as they fulfill their curiosity and bend down to investigate the wiggly worms that come out in the rain, or the utter joy they have playing in a pile of dirt. They are happy, and so am I!
I love walking around the neighbourhood and pointing out different flowers and birds and naming them to my boys. My son now knows the names of a lot of different ones!
ReplyDelete:) I don't know the names myself, so we call them by their colours - but they do love to look at them!
DeleteMy nearly 4 year old has been living outside lately... no idea what she does, but she'll play in the backyard for hours with sticks and rocks (and the dog).
ReplyDeleteMy kids love it - the weather has been beautiful for the last week or so - lots of outdoor time playing in the dirt!
DeleteSo today my 4 year old son helped me mow the lawn. He was so excited to find a snail! He also told me that I shouldn't mow over the Dandelions! LOL!
ReplyDeletetoo funny! My kids get upset when we pull them out of the lawn - oops;
DeleteThe other day 3 of the grandkids were outside with me, first we saw a cat who seemed to be chasing a bunny and that bunny seemed to be chasing a bird. It was so funny, we laughed and laughed
ReplyDeletehow fun!
DeleteWe have a river nearby that we walk along during our nightly walks. Lots of good stuff to find there!
ReplyDeleteNow that my children are older, I take my grandchildren around and they always pick a nice bunch of wildflowers for grandma to take home! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how a walk in the neighbour hood can touch each of the six senses, especially if you have a popscicle when you are done
