It's one of the places that they love to visit every summer, and we can easily spend a few hours wandering around and playing.
There is a small barn with goats that you can feed, they have some cages with roosters and chickens, and another one that has a few peacocks (we saw one with it's feathers fanned out today - it was really neat to see!)
not a great picture because of the cage...but it was so pretty |
They have a new play area this year that has some climbers and a John Deere Combine that has a slide through it (what fun for the kids!) and kids are also able to climb up to the drivers seat!
We took a walk on the small nature trail they have and then spent 30 more minutes playing with sand at the older play area.

When we were done with the train ride, we headed back to the goats and then headed off - they were a little sad to leave, but we spent a wonderful 3 hours and promised that we would try and make it back before the end of summer!

This looks like such a cute place for kids!
ReplyDeleteIt is great. We have gone at least once a year since Mr. J was 15 months old
Deletesome time you just have to take it easy by taking the kids somewhere to run and play while you can sometimes sit and rest while still supervising, it is a win, win situation
ReplyDeleteexactly; my mom and I were able to chat while they played!
DeleteThis looks like a fun spot! For what ages would you recommend this? We have never been.
ReplyDeleteKids can have fun almost anywhere, but at an animal farm, that is way too cool
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun little place for a family outing! (Judy Cowan)
