Thanksgiving is coming up next weekend, and I thought it would be a good time to think about the things that I am thankful for. There are many things, but I am only going to be listing a few.

I am Thankful for my family and friends. They love me and accept me for who I am.
I am Thankful for my health. I have not had to battle any major illnesses, and I am grateful about that.
I am Thankful that I live in a Country where we are relatively safe. We don't have a war going on outside of our front doors.
I am Thankful that we have a roof over our heads, food in our cupboards/fridge and clothes to wear. We don't have to worry about where our next meal will come from.
I am Thankful for a public education system. While it may be flawed, we all have access to it.
I am Thankful for public healthcare - again, like the education system their may be flaws, but we are very lucky to have easy access to doctors.
What are you Thankful for?
That's a lot to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that we have the legal right to choose how to educate our children. And you're absolutely right our healthcare system is absolutely something to be thankful for. I am also thankful for an election coming up and the opportunity to vote.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the state of the world these days, I'm thankful for every little thing I have, from enough food to warm boots. And I'm with Sarah - thankful for the right to vote and the upcoming election.
